Stay connected with each other and help our homebound and self-isolating community members see the world around them without having to leave the security of their own homes.
Share photos of what Sylvan Lake looks like to you. Maybe that’s the birds migrating back to us, or the hints of green we’re starting to see come back as the warmer temperatures return. Maybe it’s activities you’re doing with your family in your yard, or what your pets are up to. If you’re able to go out for a walk - while engaging in physical and social distancing - share photos of your surroundings. Show us what the view looks like from your deck, or what the Christmas lights look like from your car. The only limit is your imagination.
Post to your own social media with the hashtag #SylvanLakePhotoWalk
Photos can be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org (weekly, by Friday at 3:30pm) to be entered in the “Best of Sylvan Lake Photo Walk” contest. Selected photos may be included in the library’s physical exhibit upon re-opening and/or featured on our website and social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Stay safe, stay active, and we will get through this period of social distancing together. Let’s keep connected with each other via a beautiful artistic medium: photography.
