Friends Of The Sylvan Lake Library

The Friends of the Sylvan Lake Library, FOSLL, is a non-profit society established under Alberta's Society Act for the purpose of helping the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library. FOSLL may be contacted by email at:sylvan.library@prl.ab.ca

Who are they?
They are a talented, creative and hardworking group of volunteers who have a lot of fun working to promote the library within the community.

What do they do?
They promote the library by hosting fabulous special events, they volunteer in a variety of ways when the library or its board needs a helping hand with a program or project, and they fundraise to assist us in purchasing special items which fall beyond the scope of the library budget.
Some FOSLL funded items so far have included:
* an outdoor book return * shelving in the children's area * audiobooks * comfortable armchairs*

What EXACTLY do they do?
FOSLL puts on a used booksale each summer at the library. They also run an annual Christmas Stocking Raffle.
